Katie is a student art therapist in the Art Therapy/Counseling Master’s program at Southwestern college. She also holds a BA in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior from the University of Washington. Katie uses her love of animals, the natural world, and the resiliency of the human spirit to inform her therapeutic approach. Her passions as a therapist lie in working with grief and loss, trauma, and skills development.

Katie strives to bring a compassionate, person centered, and trauma informed lens into the therapeutic space with the goal of assisting each client in trust building, self-actualization, positive personal growth, and most importantly, healing. Katie utilizes evidenced based approaches such as DBT and CBT alongside art therapy to support the client’s journey with the intention to honor the unique qualities and experiences that each client brings into the therapy process in their own way.
